Jungle Experiences has announced a special advanced purchase package for all 2020 departures on its luxury riverboat cruises through the Amazon rainforest of northern Peru.
Valid on five day/four night and four/day three nights cruises aboard the M/V Zafiro, the package includes free domestic roundtrip flights between Lima and Iquitos, a complimentary night at the Hilton Doubletree Hotel in Iquitos, and US$250 per person off regular rates.
Zafiro plies the rainforest waterways south of Iquitos and explores Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve — one of the largest national parks anywhere in South America — between May and December.
The special offer is based on double occupancy and includes all meals, as well as non-alcoholic beverages and house national alcoholic beverages, excursions and equipment (including rubber boots and rain ponchos), round-trip airport transfers, entrance fees to the national reserve, and all activities during the voyage including guest lectures and land excursions.
With more than 25 years exploring and cruising the Peruvian Amazon, the Jungle Experiences state-of-the-art riverboat experience blends experiential travel with active adventure and local culture. Passengers are guided on a magical journey of discovery along the world’s most fabled river in a region renowned for its flora, fauna and indigenous peoples.
Land excursions led by veteran naturalist guides include jungle walks, bird watching, shaman encounters, swimming with pink dolphins, fishing for piranha, night safaris and village visits.
Pre- and post-cruise tours can be arranged upon request including visits to the Manatee Rescue Center and Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Farm & Amazon Animal Orphanage, as well as city tours of Iquitos with stops Casa de Fierro, Historic Boat Museum, the Indigenous Culture Museum and other local sights.
As part of its commitment to sustainable tourism, Jungle Experiences works intensively with local communities, providing them with resources to improve their quality of life and conserve the environment for generations to come. They also contribute to the Association for the Conservation of Amazonian Biodiversity (ACOBIA).
