SeaTrek Bali Also Does Private Charters

Did you know that SeaTrek Sailing Adventures charters entire boats for family reunions, alumni trips, conventions, professional organizations, special interest groups, honeymoons or simply a super private vacation (with or without the kids)?

The Bali-based company offers many options for charter cruising on both of its chic pinisi ships, with a choice of existing itineraries or bespoke journeys designed to suit individual needs and interests, or highlighting different aspects of the vast and highly diverse Indonesian archipelago.

SeaTrek’s professional, multilingual guides and crew ensure that passengers have an unforgettable experience that includes outstanding service and comfort in an on-board atmosphere of barefoot elegance and relaxed simplicity. Experts on topics ranging from birding and local culture to scuba diving and yoga can be added to the itinerary, as well as additional crew members like a personal chef. All of the cruises offer great accommodation, fine food, breathtaking scenery and the pleasure of being enveloped by the endless horizon of the sea.

Over the years, SeaTrek has organized charters for people from all walks of life looking for pleasure, adventure and something out of the ordinary. Guests can dive into snorkeling, bird watching, team building, photography, scientific research or shore excursions that revolve around the spice trade, nature, cuisine, colonial history and other specialized topics. Or they simply relax beneath the tropical sun on a sleek, beautiful sailing vessel. You call the shots.

SeaTrek cruises the archipelago from Borneo in the west to Papua in the east, and from Sumba in the south to Maluko in the north, following the seasons and the winds, and staying one step ahead of the rains to provide optimum cruising conditions. Our seasonal schedule features:

January to March: Raja Ampat, Sorong, Misool, Ternate, Kendari.

April to September: Bali and the Lesser Sundas including the Komodo, Alor and Sumba.

October to November: Lesser Sundas, Banda, Ternate and Rajat Ampat.

December: Papua including Raja Ampat and Triton Bay.

SeaTrek vessels boast ample on-board facilities and activities including snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding, or simply lazing in the sun with a good book.

They are also happy to arrange activities on demand like cooking classes, free-diving, rock climbing, kite surfing, wake boarding, etc. Simply ask and they will do their level best to accommodate any wishes.

The Katharina — a traditional 35-meter, wooden schooner — features six cabins, with a maximum capacity of 12 adults and two children, giving you the freedom to do what you want, when you want to do it. Recently redesigned and constructed of natural woods and classic décor, the stylish cabins are bright and inviting with double or twin berths, individually controlled AC and en-suite bathrooms.

The larger, 12-cabin Ombak Putih is also available for charters. But since her schedule is usually full with our regular cruises, charters must be arranged well in advance. Occasionally she does become available when an unexpected cancellation occurs, opening her up for charters.

SeaTrek likes to provide guests with a full and final price for all charter bookings, quotes that are free from hidden costs and with as few supplements as possible. Rates are based on a 24-hour day including six hours of cruising per day, professional tour leaders and crew, all food and beverage (except alcohol), national park fees, water sports activities, and all taxes and service charges, except for crew tips. Tariffs vary according to cruising areas due to the substantially larger costs of operating in eastern Indonesia.

Beer, wines and spirits are offered for sale on-board, but at a very low cost so as not to break the bank. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcohol at no extra cost. Clients must cover flights to and from embarkation points, and an extra fuel surcharge may apply if clients wish to include multiple areas or long journeys that require a major re-positioning of the ship. Realistic payment plans make these charters as achievable and as simple as possible.

If you don’t have quite enough friends and family to fill an entire boat, you can ask SeaTrek to try and fill the extra cabins by using their connections and international networks.
