Uganda Slashes Visa and Gorilla Fees

November 18, 2016 - 1 minute read

In a move to promotuganda-flage tourism, the Ugandan government has slashed the price of a single entry visa to US$50 (down from US$100). The good news came just days after the government introduced an online visa application service.

In addition to making travel to Uganda less costly, these developments reduce the amount of paperwork and the amount of time spent in queues on arrival at Entebbe International Airport or any other entry points.

Uganda issues other types of tourist visas, including multiple and transit permits. The fees for these visas have not been revised. The decision to slash single entry fees was reached after a request by officials from Uganda Tour Operators.

The visa free reduction coincides with a discounted price of $450 for gorilla permits for visits during the remainder of  November 2016 and April and May of 2017.  Adventure Consults can assist you with all your safari needs to Uganda!
