Changes Afoot at Hotel Las Torres

July 17, 2017 - 1 minute read

It may be the depths of winter in Patagonia, but the folks who run Hotel Las Torres are hard at work making the next summer season (2017-18) even better for visitors to Torres del Paine National Park with major room renovations.

First and foremost, the hotel is deactivating all of its standard rooms. They will eventually be renovated. But next season Las Torres will offer 74 guest rooms in the following categories:

  • Suites: The hotel’s largest rooms (38 square meters/410 square feet) feature mini bar, small living area, and Jacuzzi where you can relax while enjoying the beautiful view of the Paine Massif.
  • Ciprés Rooms: Newly renovated, these spacious (22 sq m/237 sq ft) rooms are warm, with excellent insulation and large windows to enjoy the scenery. Each one is decorated with regional art or artifacts (such as looms and ethnic masks) and outfitted with furniture made by Patagonian artisans.
  • Canelo Rooms: These rooms (20 sq m/215 sq ft) are very warm, pleasant and offer comfortable spaces with elements that evoke the history and culture of Patagonia.

All existing bookings for standard rooms (all are on a bed and breakfast base) will remain, since the standard module will remain operational. There will not be any changes in bookings for all-inclusive programs since guests always automatically stay in superior rooms. Meanwhile, Hotel Las Torres has decided to extend the 2017-18 season by a few weeks and it will close April 30th.
