Easier Access to Serengeti Migration Camp

May 31, 2016 - 1 minute read

We finallySMC 2 have confirmed verbal permission to use the bridge in front of Serengeti Migration Camp to access the Kogatende/Mara crossings. This cuts the three-hour journey time between the camp and the Mara River to as little as one hour. Serengeti Migration Camp is now ideally placed as a base to experience the annual migration river crossings. This is a private road for Elewana vehicles only.

Serengeti Migration Camp is situated in the northwestern Serengeti, on a rock kopje alongside the Grumeti River. This secluded corner of the park ensures guests enjoy low density tourism in game rich areas. Guests enjoy a diverse range of game-drive options including the Mara River.

“Big Five” sightings are commonplace near the camp year round. Resident hippos can be seen in many of the pools along the Grumeti River and over 500 species of birds have been recorded locally. The camp also offers guests the opportunity to walk along the river accompanied by an expert guide.
