Nyungwe Forest National Park Tariff Revised

November 23, 2022 - 2 minutes read

In the existing partnership with Rwanda Development Board, Nyungwe Management Company announced the new tourism pricing for Nyungwe, applicable 1st January 2023. Going forward, all Adventure Consults’ safaris to Nyungwe shall reflect the new rates.
Notably, all safari that have been confirmed with deposit payments, shall not be affected by the new tariffs.

In a statement dated 12th October 2023, the park manager Protais Niyigaba mentioned that
the two main objectives of the new pricing are to;

  1. Simplify the existing pricing for visitors and harmonization of the pricing structure between two Rwandan parks whose management is entrusted to African Parks (Akagera and Nyungwe);
  2. Facilitating longer stays of guests without incurring exponential increases in expenses.

All guests interested in chimpanzee tracking shall be required to pay USD 250 per day which includes park entrance fees. This increases the cost of Chimpanzee tracking up by an additional USD 160.
Nyungwe Forest National Park tariff has not changed in the last 10 years.
The highlight of Nyungwe is Chimpanzee tracking, but the forest has got more to offer. Other special activities include guided bird walks, canopy walks, forest walks, and other primate treks.
