The Plain Dealer newspaper reports that the airfare cost from Cleveland to Europe has dropped by more than a third thanks to the two new Icelandic airlines that begin flying from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport this spring.

Quotable quote: “Patrick Surry, the chief data scientist for Hopper, said the drop in price is a direct result of new European service from Cleveland via Wow Air and Icelandair. The two Iceland-based airlines, which start flying from Cleveland in May, offer nonstop service to Reykjavik, with connections to dozens of cities in Europe.”
