Named after the Latin term for “Southern Wind,” the state-of-the-art ship is scheduled to go into service in early 2018. Custom-made for exploring the remote waterways of Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, all aspects of the 210-passenger vessel are designed to give Ventus Australis the extreme maneuverability necessary to navigate narrow fjords and channels where larger cruise ships cannot venture.

Our latest maritime masterpiece was created by Asenav, the internationally acclaimed Chilean shipyard that has designed, fabricated and launched three other expedition ships for Australis.

First scheduled departure for the Ventus is January 2, 2018.  She will offer four-night, one-way cruises between Punta Arenas, Chile and Ushuaia, Argentina.
