Traveling to Ecuador latest update

July 1, 2021 - 1 minute read

According to the latest communication issued by Ecuadorian Authorities, effective 1st July 2021, all travelers will be allowed to enter our country upon presentation of their vaccination certificate complete schedule – 2 doses or 1 dose depending on the COVID19 vaccine version received -administered at least 14 days prior to their arrival.

Otherwise, travelers will be requested to bring a negative PCR test taken no longer than 72 hours before their arrival.

The same parameters will be applicable to enter the Galapagos National Park. Therefore, for people who are staying on mainland Ecuador before their flight to Galapagos, it will be necessary to repeat their PCR test at a local laboratory within the 72-hour deadline.

In addition to the presentation of either one of these options, all tourists must get their Transit Contol Card (US$20) paid before their flight to the Islands.
