Uganda Ready for Tourism
September 22, 2020 - 2 minutes readGreetings from Adventure Consults!
We hope that you are all in good health and managing to keep tourism at the forefront of your mind during these challenging days of Covid-19.
Good news from Uganda; Entebbe International Airport and all Uganda borders will be opening for tourism on October 1st, 2020. Also, Civil Aviation Authority Uganda has confirmed that all scheduled flights will be allowed to fly in and out of Entebbe airport. In his September 20th, 2020 national address, the president of the republic of Uganda, H.E Yoweri Museveni, mentioned that “The International Airport and land borders will now be opened for tourists, coming in and going out, provided they tested negative 72 hours before arrival in Uganda”.
The global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on the tourism industry. The initial measures to curb the spread of the virus resulted in the closure of all of Uganda’s borders as well as Entebbe International Airport. This greatly helped prevent any imported cases.
As the COVID-19 situation evolves and the government lifts restrictions on the operation of tourism business, Adventure Consults is here to guide you on how we are prepared as a company and country to run your safaris safely. You can find detailed information and updates on the Adventure Updates section of our website.
To restore confidence in travelers, Civil Aviation Authority Uganda has prepared and shared their COVID-19 air protocols for the reopening of passenger flight operations.
