February 11, 2022 - 2 minutes read

Based on the current reduction of COVID19 cases, the Ecuadorian authorities have updated the travel regulations for international tourists coming into the country.

Travelers will be required to fill out and sign a personal health statement before disembarking from the plane. This document will be handed to the Ministry of Health representatives at the immigration lounge before clearing customs.

In addition to this, all travelers older than 3 years must comply with the following requirements:

  • PCR negative test taken up to 3 days before their flight to Ecuador. The PCR test has a total validity of 72 hours from the time the sample was taken OR
  • COVID19 vaccination official certificate stating that both doses of the 2-dose vaccines have been received at least 14 days before their flight.

For your trip to the Galapagos Islands, as per the current measures enforced by boat operators, we strongly recommend that all passengers get tested for COVID19 (PCR or Antigen test) up to 72 hours before getting on board our boats in spite of their vaccination status.

All passengers will be subject to body temperature control for detection of temperatures higher than 37.5° C upon arrival of their international flight at Ecuador airport.

All people entering the country must follow the bio-security regulations established by the Ministry of Health.

For additional details or specific information please contact our staff via email or WhatsApp so we can make suggestions in case clients need to get tested while you are in Ecuador.
