Can’t pronounce anything in Iceland? We can’t either

By August 26, 2014June 20th, 2025Blog, Iceland Pro Cruises

The North America Iceland ProCruises team  has had some trouble pronouncing our Icelandic ports and we figured if we need help, you might too!

Icelandic, we found out, is one of the hardest languages to speak and can be traced back to the Viking era. In fact, Icelanders are the only people left who can read the old Viking sagas!

Check out the map below for the corresponding ports on our Icelandic Circumnavigation departure, one of our 5 itineraries we will offer beginning in May 2015 We hope that this  makes you more comfortable selling our destination-the land of fire and ice.

The voice you hear is that of  Gudmundur Kjartansson, the managing director of Iceland ProCruises.  We hope this can make you more comfortable in selling our destination.  Check out the map below for the corresponding port on our Iceland Circumnavigation departure.
