Mbweha Camp at Kenya’s Lake Nakuru is midway through a major refurbishment, and they couldn’t wait any longer to share the details.
They’ve reimagined their guest cottages to be brighter, cozier, and more stylish. New doors and windows flood the rooms with natural light, all tucked under brand-new, traditional thatched roofs. Every room now features beautiful TNG wooden flooring, complemented by a total furniture refresh — including handcrafted beds, desks and vibrant new linens.
Bathrooms are being fully redone with ceramic tiling and modern vanities. For those who love the “star-bath” experience, the camp’s private gardens now feature premium tiled cladding and new outdoor showers for the ultimate soak under the African sky.
Common areas are also getting a significant upgrade. Guests will now enter across a charming new bridge over an enhanced pond. The reception, bar and fireplace lounge have gorgeous new wooden floors and a new seating layout that’s perfect for swapping safari stories.
They’re rebuilding the kitchen from the roof down and fitting it with modern equipment to ensure the Mbweha culinary team has everything they need to wow your tastebuds. Meanwhile, they’re adding a large wooden deck to the swimming pool area, plus new pool beds.
The soul of Mbweha hasn’t changed—they’re just making the experience a little more polished and a lot more comfortable.
