Minor Hotels and Anantara Africa

Minor Hotels is a global hospitality leader with over 560 hotels and resorts across six continents, a diverse portfolio of F&B businesses and a selection of luxury transportation services. With over four decades of experience, Minor builds stronger brands, fosters lasting partnerships, and drives business success by staying focused on what matters most to their guests, team members and partners.

Founded in 2001 with a single beachfront property in Thailand, Anantara has grown into one of the world’s foremost luxury hotel groups. The collection spans cosmopolitan cities, exotic tropical islands, desert sands, heritage destinations, uncharted beaches and contemporary resort destinations in Asia, the Middle East, Indian Ocean, Mediterranean and Africa.

Emerging Destinations will represent five Minor/Anantara bush and beach destinations in sub-Saharan Africa:

Royal Livingstone Hotel: Located just steps from one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, the Royal Livingstone is located on the Zambian side of the Zambezi River in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, overlooking the Zambezi River and with direct access to world-famous Victoria Falls.

Stanley & Livingstone Hotel Victoria Falls: This boutique African retreat inside a private game reserve on the Zimbabwe side of Victoria Falls offers Big Five game drives, guided nature walks, and intimate encounters with the local wildlife — as well as spa treatments and the excellent 1871 Restaurant.

Avani Victoria Falls Resort

Located inside Zambia’s Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, Avani is the closest hotel to the legendary falls on either side of the Zambezi River. Many of the guest rooms offer views of the enormous cascade from windows, verandas, or balconies. Guests have free unlimited access to the national park and its many riverside trails and overlooks.

Bazaruto Island Resort: Perched on the gorgeous Ilha de Bazaruto (Island of the Mist), Anantara Bazaruto Island lies 30 km off the Mozambique mainland. Its 44 luxury villas lie between rolling sand dunes and the azure ocean in a Bazaruto Archipelago protected within the confines of a marine reserve and national park.

Anantara Tented Camp Kafue River: This new upscale retreat in wildlife-rich Kafue National Park is scheduled to open this summer. Carefully designed for minimal environmental impact and maximum luxury, the camp’s 13 tents offer private plunge pools and exclusive boat access. Nestled between two islands, it features a wellness area with swimming pool, restaurant and bar, and helicopter access.
