Anima River Cruises
About Anima River Cruises
ANIMA River Cruises brings a new way to travel to northern Argentina, with all-inclusive three- and four-night sailings between Iguazú Falls and Posadas. The route follows around 300 km (186 miles) of the Upper Paraná River, along the border of Argentina and Paraguay and through the South Atlantic Rainforest.
The itinerary pairs one of the world’s most famous waterfalls with the UNESCO World Heritage Jesuit mission ruins and the green expanse of the Misiones rainforest. Along the way, guests meet the living traditions of the region’s Guaraní and Criollo communities.
The ship is European-built and carries 128 guests in 64 cabins. It is undergoing a full refit in the Netherlands to a five-star standard, comparable to the world’s leading river cruises. Delivery is expected in early 2027, with the first sailings beginning in October 2027.
Life on board is arranged around the landscape. There is an open sun deck facing the river and a restaurant with a terrace over the water, plus quiet corners for reading and rest. Guests can also enjoy a panoramic lounge, an outdoor pool and solarium, a wine bar and a boutique.
All 64 cabins have floor-to-ceiling windows, so the river is never out of view. Meals, drinks and excursions are included in the fare.
