Corne LionGrab some coffee, hop into one of Adventure Consults vehicles at the crack of dawn and hit the road in search of lions. Your guides on this bespoke adventure are members of a local predator research team that’s been doing research into the carnivores in the park for the last 11 years.

Become a researcher for a day, as you learn to use telemetry to find the different lion prides who roam the savannah of Queen Elizabeth. We can honestly state there is no better way to find and photograph lions in all of Uganda.

Given the fact that one lion in each pride is collared as part of the research project, you can expect to see multiple prides during this half-day trip. Due to the off-road nature off the adventure — all other vehicles must stay on the allocated game routes and are not allowed off-road — close encounters with other wildlife are also assured.

During the drive, the guides and researchers will discuss human-animal conflict in communities around the park, veterinary issues within the park, and lion family dynamics as part of a very in-depth game drive.

Cost: USD 150 per person. We limit the experience to half a day where possible, as it’s off road and can be extremely hot, but very adventurous.
