During your stay at Canyon Madness Ranch, take some time away from the horseback riding and other outdoor adventure sports to shop for authentic cowboy and cowgirl duds.

Legendary Western wear outfitters like Cavender’s in Albuquerque and Maverick’s of Santa Fe offer a chance to purchase boots, hats, belts, jeans and other cowpoke fashion on your way to the ranch. Or arrange a day trip Solano’s in Raton, up near the New Mexico-Colorado border.

Founded in 1965 in a small West Texas town, Cavender’s offers a full range of Western fashion for men, women and children. And they sponsor their own rodeo team.

Located on the famous plaza in downtown Santa Fe, Maverick’s is also renowned for its exquisite modern Native American jewelry and a furniture collection that includes high-quality leather, wood, and metal sofas, chairs and tables.

The oldest and most authentic of the three, Solano’s started life in 1956 as a boot repair shop for local riders and ranch workers. Among its many specialty items are tall-top boots, felt hats, stampede strings and leather vests.
