With a prime location in the Serengeti National Park, Osero Camp from TopGuides puts you in the heart the Great Migration and the legendary Serengeti Plains of northern Tanzania.
Location is everything in the Serengeti and Osero features two private campsites carefully chosen to give guests the best that Serengeti has to offer, often right from the front deck of your tent.
The camp nestles year round in the heart of Lamai, offering the splendor of the Northern Serengeti with its remoteness and magnificent resident wildlife.
From July to October, the Great Migration explodes back and forth across the nearby Mara River. You can watch the herds assemble as they edge closer to the riverbanks before finally taking the plunge and swimming to the opposite bank.
From December to March, this luxury mobile camp overlooks the short grass plains of Kusini in the southern Serengeti. From this secluded location, you can witness the herds in the calving season, during which around half a million young wildebeest are born each year.
Resident game abounds in both locations including all the main predator and scavenger species.
Osero North & South are available on an exclusive or shared basis and can accommodate up to 18 guests in seven standard and one family, custom-made safari tents.
The spacious, well-appointed tents boast private verandahs with views over the Serengeti wilderness and ensuite bathrooms with flush toilets and hot “safari showers.” Common areas include separate dining and lounge/bar tents, a campfire area and an ever-attentive staff ready to look after your every need with personalized service throughout your stay.
