April 15, 2024 - 1 minute readAtua Enkop’s amazing Elephant Bedroom Camp lies along the Ewaso Ngiro River in Samburu National Reserve, one of Kenya’s premier safari destinations.
Located in north-central Kenya, Samburu Airport is just a one-hour flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. From there it’s around a 40-minute drive to the camp via Archer’s Post. It could take longer, of course, depending on what wildlife you spot along the way. There’s always something!
Samburu safeguards more than 900 elephants as well as lions, leopards, cheetah and wild dogs. And fairly rare animals like the Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe and gerenuk antelope with its super-long neck. And bring your binoculars to spot the park’s 450-plus bird species.
Elephant Bedroom is an intimate tented safari camp with simplistic elegance, luxury and style that provide an astonishing experience. Decorated with rustic and colorful African touches, the 14 spacious tents offering all the comforts including a private plunge pool on the deck, hot and cold running water, and electricity.
