On this GVI Expedition, you’ll learn about critical conservation efforts to protect this unique elephant population and reduce human-elephant conflict.

Damaraland: one of the world’s last remaining true wildernesses. A place of contrasts, a seemingly barren landscape that’s teeming with life.

On this life-changing, five-day GVI Expedition across the Namibian desert, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at elephant conservation. Spend your days tracking desert-dwelling elephants and your nights around a campfire, swapping tales and gazing at the vast starry sky.

The expedition includes three nights of camping in remote locations as you track desert elephants. A vehicle drives all the gear between campsites, where staff set up camp and prepare meals for the group.

Damaraland is a tribal wilderness area which runs parallel to the iconic Skeleton Coast National Park. Witness uniquely adapted elephants, lions and giraffes in their natural environment. You might also spot black rhino, oryx, brown and spotted hyena, leopard, cheetah and more.
