The Uganda Wildlife Authority has translocated a tower of Rothschild giraffes and a herd of Jackson’s hartebeests from Murchison Falls National Park to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
The move is part of an ongoing plan to increase the sanctuary’s biodiversity and provide visitors with the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see other wildlife species alongside the park’s renowned Southern white rhinos.
Ziwa is the perfect stop point for travelers heading to Murchison Falls and Kidepo Valley National Park, but the sanctuary can also be visited as a long day trip from Kampala.
The 11-day Uganda Big Five & Primates safari from Adventure Consults offers an ideal opportunity to explore some of the country’s top safari destinations including a stop a Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
