Short on time but still wanna see the iconic sights of Peru? This seven-day journey with Enchanted Expedition begins in Lima with a tour of the bustling capital city, continues in Cusco the old capital of the Inca Empire, and ends with the famous ruins of Machu Picchu.

The Lima portion includes the Historic Center where the Spanish conquistadors and padres founded the Peruvian capital in 1535 and continues in chic Miraflores and the Bohemian neighborhood of Barranco overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

History-filled plazas, churches and archeological treasures await in Cusco, which lies at the foot of the High Andes. There’s also time to browse the Mercado de San Pedro for local handicrafts and souvenirs.

After a day exploring the Sacred Valley and Ollantaytambo (one of the last remaining Inca towns), it’s time to ride the train to Machu Picchu, the mountaintop Inca sanctuary rediscovered in the early 20th century.
