Karen Bouchard

Karen feels very fortunate to have been exposed to travel at a very young age. On the heels of her parents as they made their way home time and again, she spent many summers in Europe visiting relatives in England, Scotland and Switzerland. These early experiences were the influence that encouraged Karen to fulfill her passion in travel.

Fresh out of College, Karen began her career as a Travel Agent with a company specializing in adventure-style travel and around-the-world trips!

She has been fortunate to discover far corners of the world and experience some very intriguing destinations such as Vanuatu, New Caledonia, East and North Africa, India, Middle East, South East Asia, Europe as well as the South Pacific and many of the Leeward and Windward Islands in the Caribbean.

Prior to joining Emerging Destinations, Karen held a position as a Product Manager specializing in Africa. Her responsibilities included creating an extensive number of varied trips to this “Dark Continent”…Africa anyone? She also managed three offices whose focus was worldwide adventure travel for small groups.

Karen brings 30+ years of travel industry knowledge to the Emerging Destinations team.
