Fresh honey produced a female-led cooperative in Mukuni village is served at Royal Livingstone restaurants. The beehives for the project are made by the Royal Livingstone maintenance staff in cooperation with Zambia Forest College’s teaching staff.

From beekeeping classes to honey tasting, gardens and rooftops at Anantara hotels around the world are humming with activity. Recognizing the important role that bees play in our ecosystem, Anantara encourages its properties around the globe to develop local initiatives that protect pollinators and their habitats, while nurturing host communities and environments.

“I’m proud that Anantara hotels around the globe are taking it upon themselves to provide homes for these vital pollinators,” says John Roberts, Group Director of Conservation and Sustainability for Anantara. “All the while providing our guests with guaranteed fresh, pure and low-food-mile honey and helping keep local skills alive.”
