Paddling Patagonia – Kayaking Adventure in Argentina

January 1, 2025 - 1 minute read

Embark on a kayaking adventure with River House Lodge in Argentina’s spectacular Patagonia region, exploring local national park lakes with an experienced paddling guide.

Choose from picturesque routes like Lacar, Machonico, Hermoso or Lolog — each offering unique landscapes and opportunities for a beach picnic.

Strung like deep-blue jewels along the Route of the Seven Lakes on the Argentine side of the Andes, are surrounded by native forest and marshy wetlands.

Fed by runoff from glaciers, icefields and winter snow, these pristine lakes offer a chance to glide through pure, crystal-clear water that reflects the clouds and nearby snowcapped peaks.

Both single and double kayaks are available, and all are equipped with personal flotation devices. The pre-trip orientation includes basic paddling skills and safety procedures for those who have never previously kayaked.

These half-day excursions include round-trip transport from River House Lodge.
