The Royal Livingstone Hotel by Anantara invites guests to experience the Zambezi Dining Experiencea culinary journey that celebrates local cultures and flavors through sustainable practices.

By partnering with local farmers, the hotel sources fresh, seasonal ingredients, reducing its carbon footprint while supporting the community.

The journey begins in the Herb Garden where guests meet Lister, the passionate local gardener. As the only female gardener in the profession traditionally dominated by men, she shares her knowledge of sustainable farming techniques, such as crop rotation and composting organic waste.

Then it’s off the banks of the Zambezi River, where a chef shares the rich history of local fishing and his Whole Zambezi Grilled Bream, a dish that celebrates the river’s bounty while honoring age-old fishing practices that have nourished communities for generations.

The evening comes to an end at the iconic Victoria Falls, where the thunderous roar of water provides a breathtaking backdrop for dessert. Guests savor local delicacies like Mundambi Panna Cotta, Cassava Cake, or Mubuyu Mousse, crafted from the nutrient-rich fruit of the baobab tree.
