River House Lodge offers four different ways saddle up for explorations of the pampas, lakes and Andes of Argentine Patagonia.

Valley View Excursion

A short drive takes you to a stunning viewpoint overlooking the valley and surrounding peaks. Opt for a gentle 1.5-hour ride or longer journey with opportunities for trotting and cantering.

National Park Excursions

Venture into San Martin de los Andes for guided horseback rides into Lanín National Park ranging from two to four hours. Explore the park’s incredible scenery alongside local gauchos.

Island Adventure

Enjoy a leisurely two-hour ride exploring the picturesque island just across the river from our lodge. Experience the serene beauty of Patagonia’s landscapes and vegetation, with the possibility of encountering local wildlife along the way.

Pampas Adventure/Cabalgatas

An exhilarating horseback riding on the property. Choose between a lively trot, canter or gallop, followed by a relaxing ride back to the stables — a perfect way for both horses and riders to unwind.
