“Pura Vida” — Living the Life in Costa Rica
January 26, 2022 - 1 minute readYou’re likely to hear the term “pura vida” the minute you land in Costa Rica. It’s used a lot like “aloha,” a way that locals say hello and goodbye. But it also sums up the country’s appeal — breathtaking nature, fascinating wildlife, pristine beaches and endless adventure.
From cloud forests to mangrove swamps and coral reefs, Costa Rica offers a wide variety of natural beauty. Numerous national parks and reserves lure visitors with exotic flora and wildlife, while adventure seekers have options like hiking remote national park trails or experiencing the rainforest from a bird´s perspective on a canopy tour.
Two oceans border Costa Rica: the Atlantic in the east and the Pacific in the west. Although the coasts are very different in style and culture, both offer paradise beaches, charming villages, and a choice of local boutique hotels or large international resorts.
Travel Pioneers can create a customized itinerary that might include a sail and snorkel along the glistening Pacific with a beautiful beach picnic, an adventurous whitewater rafting trip that leaves your adrenalin pumping, a jungle trek with wildlife encounters, kayaking through mangroves, and other facets of Costa Rica’s pura vida.
